
Dry Ingredients:
2 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda,
1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 scant ( pinch ) salt , 1/2 lb. raisins,
1 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs
Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and raisins.
Rub in ( using fingers ) 1 stick of butter.
Mix and beat well the buttermilk and eggs.
Add buttermilk mixture to dry ingredients and mix well.
Pour into a greased & floured Loaf Pan.
Bake @ 350 F degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
Check with a toothpick.
